Our supervised visits enable parents and children to get reacquainted in a healthy environment, allowing them to build and strengthen their bond. In a friendly and welcoming environment, families learn to be better parents, and positive relationships start to form. Additionally, our stabilization, mentoring, and parenting programs help the child to live a normal and constructive life.

Our workforce comprises of people from a range of backgrounds, including those from fields such as child development and therapy, education, social work, and law enforcement. Additionally, UYFS workers undergo training in various areas of focus including the development of the child, the consequences of divorce or separation for children and families, domestic violence, child abuse/negligence, drug abuse, and cultural awareness and inclusion.

Job Posting for Crisis Stabilizer, Mentor

 

  • Work with a team of professionals utilizing strength-based strategies to foster, facilitate and promote wellness in the children and families that we serve.
  • Provide individual support to the clients such as assisting in developing a plan of care and a comprehensive safety plan for use during times of crisis; meet with the client for preventative outings in the community; assist in
    linking client to resources in the community and work with the client’s care team to assist through the recovery process (family support and community based).
  • Provide supportive services with a client centered trauma informed focus.
  • Communicate with approved service providers and treatment team members as appropriate in a timely manner after each crisis incident.
  • Prepare, complete, and submit required documentation by due dates to include, but not limited to evaluation of services provided, documentation of all interventions, preventions, and stabilization contacts.
  • Attend meetings and professional development activities, as required.
  • Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all clients, parents, co-workers, etc.
  • Follow all duties of a mandated reporter.
  • Be a team player and perform other related duties, as assigned.

Job Posting for Visitation Supervisor

 

Unity Youth and Family Services is looking for Part Time and Full Time Visitation Supervisors to join our team!  The Visitation Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring supervised visitations when parent/child(ren) visitations are court ordered and teach parenting skills to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for helping the population we serve and dependable.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Wisconsin Driver’s License
  • Auto Insurance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to pass background check(s) as outlined by our contractual agreements
  • Ability to transport child/children to court ordered visits.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include:
Observing and describing behaviors, implementing treatment goals, monitoring court ordered visits, transporting youth to and from visits, teaching parenting skills, documentation of visits, communicating with case managers, and others who are involved with the case, attend meetings and trainings, follow organization policies and procedures, manage daily phone calls from clients and case workers, reporting as safety issues to supervisor immediately.
